Rhythm, song & musical discovery for 2-6yrs
We always get asked if we can run sessions for small people, and we just can’t say no any longer! Taiko drumming can be physically overwhelming for this younger age group if it’s constant drumming, and this is such an important age to re-assure their fundamental musical skills, and so we’ve created a special session that includes rhythm, song and musical discovery. We know that small people just love to drum. If this sounds like a small person you know, come along and join the fun!
This session has been designed for children and families who are home-educating their children. Suitable for children 8-10yrs (we do provide other sessions for younger children - see Tiny Beats), the focus is on team-work, non-verbal communication and self-expression. We encourage the adults to join-in, but if they don't want to they can wait in the reception area outside. We find that with this age-group, it is uncomfortable to have people in the hall watching, so we ask that if you're in the room, you take part in the session.
