Taiko fun for all the family – children 6yrs+ and their adults are supported here to enjoy a meaningful, social, community activity together. Learning together with their grown-ups, children can feel more connected, relaxed and empowered. Especially if they take the opportunity to conduct you as a drummer – they love being in control! We all warm-up together, practice some basic strikes, play some rhythm games and learn a rhythm pattern to play all together before opening up to some improv play where you get to see your young people express themselves on these wonderful big drums. This Sunday session is held in a very relaxed, light, fun way, where your child can feel they truly belong.

Taiko Sundays are great for a family to try a new activity together,  or for regular taiko players to share with family and friends, or as a trial for people considering joining our weekly Monday class. Ages 6yrs+

How much does it cost?

We ask for £4.50 per person, but we don’t want finances to be the reason you don’t come. We understand that budgets are tightening for us all, so if you want to come along and can make a smaller contribution or would like to offer another kind of payment – skill swap, produce you might grow or make – please email and let me know. What should we bring?

Please wear comfortable clothing & flexible footwear and bring a drink with you. All equipment is provided, including hearing protection for those who would like it.
