Open Class is a lovely opportunity to enjoy taiko - a meaningful, social, community activity. The class is held in a light, fun way that encourages focus, musical expression and teamwork.
Repertoire Classes are run by HJ, Sarah & Ruth, who will lead a fun, energetic and inspiring taiko session that teaches taiko repertoire and gives an experience of playing in a taiko group. This is set-up to welcome new players who have some taiko experience, and to maintain the Taiko Journey Collective, our community performance group.

Suitable for children 8-15yrs this session has been initiated by a home-educator who thought taiko would be a great activity for home-ed children and teens, along with their adults. Everyone here is supported to enjoy a meaningful, social, community activity together. Taiko is a wonderful activity to do together, where children feel on a level with their adults, and you can all feel connected, relaxed and empowered.
This 4-hour session will be a creative exploration into the rhythm of Winter and the inner stillness that it welcomes. An invitation to drum in a slower, quieter way whilst not in any way diminishing the power synonymous with taiko.
