This 4-hour session will be focussing on the beautiful style of naname playing. This is where the nagado taiko is held at an angle, which opens up a lovely range of kata, or movement. It really opens channels of whole-body experience with the taiko drum and is one of my most favourite to play and share.
This 4-hour session will embrace the Autumn weather with a re-imagined version of 'Bachi Rain'. Keeping key elements, this song has grown into itself during its hibernation and is ready to be enjoyed again with new stormy rain energy! This song is played by two sides of beta-style nagado players, and celebrates the thunder of the Odaiko and other instruments.

Suitable for children 8-15yrs this session has been initiated by a home-educator who thought taiko would be a great activity for home-ed children and teens, along with their adults. Everyone here is supported to enjoy a meaningful, social, community activity together. Taiko is a wonderful activity to do together, where children feel on a level with their adults, and you can all feel connected, relaxed and empowered.
